Oriana Matsuura
Founding partner
Civil appeals, writs, and a seat beside trial counsel before the verdict.
Oriana spent her first years after law school as a research attorney for an appellate court, reading records and drafting proposed opinions for judges. She learned what makes a judge stop reading, and what makes one keep going.
She started the firm to bring that reading to clients earlier. Today she takes civil appeals for businesses and individuals, writes respondents' briefs for clients who won at trial, and leads the firm's work with trial lawyers.
